how i teach
Belief first.
Strategy second.
In that order.

I have watched students arrive with the right instincts, the right work ethic, and the wrong story about themselves. They describe a summer job as "just a summer job." A retail position as "only retail." An internship as "nothing impressive." And then they wonder why the industry isn't responding.
The word I work hardest to remove from my students' vocabulary is only. You didn't only do that. You didn't just have that experience. Everything you've done has taught you something and my job is to help you see it, name it, and use it.
That's why mindset comes before method here. Because information without belief doesn't move. You can have a perfectly structured resume and still talk yourself out of sending it. We fix that first.

01
Experience is experience.
There is no such thing as irrelevant experience if you know how to translate it. A year at Starbucks tells me you were hired by a company known for being selective, trained rigorously, and held to high standards every single shift. That's not nothing. That's a foundation. We build from there.

02
Clarity before confidence
Most people arrive thinking they know what they want. Some do. Others discover something else entirely fits them better and finding that out early changes everything. I had a student who was convinced she wanted to be a stylist. She's thriving in PR now and has never looked back. Knowing your lane before you start running matters.
03
Grit over
credentials
Grit over credentials
I built this career without connections handed to me, without a roadmap, without anyone opening doors I hadn't found myself. I was resourceful, relentless, and always looking for a way in. That's what I teach - not just what to do, but the posture you bring while you're doing it.

who this is for
If you've ever searched
"how to work in the fashion industry",
this is for you.
You're a student or recent grad who did everything right and still can't figure out why nothing is working. The degree is done. The applications are out. The silence is deafening.
You don't have a fashion degree, but you have a deep love for this industry and no idea how to make that count on paper. You're looking for someone to tell you honestly whether there's a path for you.
You've been told your experience doesn't translate. You worked in retail, hospitality, childcare, customer service. Someone, maybe more than one someone, made you feel like that's not enough.

You're transitioning from another industry and you know fashion is where you belong. You just don't have the language yet to make the industry believe it as much as you do.
You're in the internship loop, doing one after another, never converting, starting to wonder if this is just how it works. It shouldn't be. And there's a reason it keeps happening that nobody has explained to you yet.
You're done with vague advice. You've tried the TikTok tips. You've read the LinkedIn posts. You want someone who has actually been inside this industry to tell you what to do on Tuesday.

why this works
I didn't get handed this career. I built it.
Early in my career while working retail, I worked through an entire overnight shift preparing a store for a visit that was supposed to change my career path. A District Manager was coming in. An introduction had been promised. I stayed until the work was done.
In the morning, before the visit even started, I was thanked and sent home.
I was livid. And then I decided that instead of getting mad, I needed to get moving. Within two weeks I started a new role at Neiman Marcus - one I found myself, interviewed for myself, and earned on my own. What that moment taught me wasn't to distrust people in authority. It was to listen when life is telling you to stop waiting for someone else to open a door.
Later, at my first internship - unpaid, full time - I made a decision that shaped everything that came after it. I treated that internship like it was the most important job I would ever have. First one in. Last one out. Volunteering for everything. Making sure that out of all the interns in that building, I was impossible to overlook. After I graduated, they created a role for me. Not because I had the best credentials in the room, but because I understood that this industry runs on who sees your work, and I made sure they saw it.
This industry is all about grit and confidence. The rest you learn.
"That's the difference between information and education. I don't just teach you what to do. I teach you how to show up while you're doing it."
The before and after nobody talks about.
Not the polished version. The real one.
BEFORE
Sending applications and hearing nothing, not even a rejection
Describing your own experience with apologies attached
Knowing fashion is your path but not being able to explain why to anyone who matters
Spending hours on a cover letter for a role that wants 2 years you don't have
Scrolling LinkedIn watching people you went to school with post promotions
Not knowing which direction in fashion is actually right for you
→
↓
AFTER
A strategy that gets responses and clarity on why it works
Language that makes every experience land as evidence, not an excuse
A clear direction about your career path and the ability to talk about it without shrinking
Applications that go out with intention, not desperation
A career path that's yours, not just the one that seemed most available
Knowing your next move - this week, not someday
1:1 SUPPORT
The Industry Intensive
For the person who is ready and wants someone truly in their corner.
You've done the self-work. You know what you want. What you need now isn't a course, it's a career strategist who will look at your actual situation and tell you exactly what needs to change and how.
The Industry Intensive is application-only and limited to five clients a month. Not as a gimmick, but because the work requires real attention, and I don't offer that without being certain I can deliver it. You apply. I review. No payment is collected until I've confirmed this is the right fit, for both of us.
If you're accepted, we go deep. Your resume, your LinkedIn, your positioning, your outreach, your application strategy. Everything looked at through the lens of where you are and where you're going. Delivered async via Loom so you have it to keep, reference, and act on at your own pace.
Format: Async + Loom Delivery
Availability: 5 clients/month
Application: Required before payment
Who it's for: Serious career movers
The application exists because the intensive works best when it's the right fit - for you and for me. It's not a barrier, it's how I make sure the work we do actually helps you move forward in your career path.
common questions
Things people ask
before they commit.
Things people ask before they commit.
I don't know if I want FCB or the Intensive. How do I decide?
Ask yourself this: do you want to work through a system on your own time, or do you want someone to look at your specific situation and tell you what to change? FCB gives you the framework and the tools, you take it from there. The Intensive means I'm in it with you, looking at your actual materials, giving you direction built around your exact circumstances. If you're still figuring out your direction and building your foundation, start with FCB. If you have clarity on where you're going and need someone to close the gap between where you are and where you're trying to be, the Intensive is built for that.
I don't have a fashion degree. Is any of this relevant to me?
Absolutely! Some of the sharpest people I've worked with never went to fashion school. What this industry actually runs on is your ability to understand the landscape, position yourself clearly, and show up with the kind of intention that makes people remember you. None of that lives in a degree. It lives in what you already have and in knowing how to use it.
Can you get me a job or an internship?
Honestly, I wish I could just hand those out. But even a direct connection falls flat if you and that person don't connect when you're in the room together. What I can do - and what I do - is give you the tools, the language, and the strategy to walk into those rooms ready. The part where you win them over? That's always going to be yours. My job is to make sure you're prepared to do it.
I've spent money on career programs before and felt burned. Why is this different?
The honest answer is that most programs are built by people who study the industry from the outside. I live inside it. I'm in conversations with employers regularly — learning what they're actually looking for right now, not what worked a few years ago. I've trained people, I've hired people, and I've watched what happens on both sides of that process. When I teach you how to position yourself, it's not based on theory. It's based on what's happening now in real time. That's a different kind of resource and it's the one I wish I'd had access to when I was starting out.
What if I genuinely don't know which direction in fashion is right for me?
That's one of the most important things the Fashion Career Blueprint addresses, and one of the most common places people are when they arrive. You don't have to know before you start. What matters is that you're willing to find out. The clarity comes through the work, not before it.
